Antique furniture repair

Loose joints, broken legs, split panels, lifting veneer and missing parts, repaired with traditional joinery and period-appropriate materials.

Structural repair

Loose joints, broken legs, split panels and damaged carcasses are the most common reasons furniture comes to us. We use traditional joinery and period-appropriate glues, so repairs last and can be reversed by a future restorer if needed.

Veneer work

Lifting veneer, missing sections, blistering, cross-banding and marquetry. Veneer damage often looks worse than it is, and most of it can be repaired. We source matching period timbers and aim for repairs you have to look hard to find.

Replacement parts and cabinet making

Missing mouldings, handles, shelves and drawer parts made by hand from suitable timbers and matched to the original as closely as possible.

What we won’t do

We won’t strip a good original surface or replace sound original parts to make a piece look tidier. Some wear is part of a piece’s history and its value.

Send photos of the damage

A few photos and a short description are enough for a first view.
